The Board of Education has officially reversed their position and our faculty will retain their roles. I appreciate the commitment shown by the 127 people who supported this effort. We will remain attentive to future board proceedings to ensure these positions remain secure.
The response from our community has been profound and underscores the importance of this cause. This collective momentum confirms that our faculty and administration have significant public backing behind them. We will now focus our efforts on ensuring this message is presented to the Board of Education.

I stand behind this school and my children love their school. I have one graduating this year and one has two more years to go.They have always received a great education there . Cutting teacher's jobs to build a new school is CRAZY . KEEP THE TEACHERS

My daughter has been a hard working music teacher at Mary Costello who had given 100% to the children of Gloucester City. After 8 years she one that is losing her job.

I hope this will help everyone to see that the budget cuts are hurting the future of our children.

I think the BOE should reverse their decision and find other ways to save and bring money into the district. I think they should start with the preschool program and the after school programs for grades 1st thru 6th. Other towns dont provide those services for free why should we? Why not charge for those services? its just a suggestion.
