The cancellation of Spicemas 2020 due to Covid19 was necessary. However, carnival is the root from which vital aspects of our culture take center stage. Its absence for 365 days extensively affects our economy and significantly affects participants' psyches.
The call is made for the authorities to grant us the freedom to host and attend 1 of the 3 events below. Or if they are willing to be extra generous, they can grant us all 3.

I checked the total this morning and saw 250 signatures which is more than I ever imagined could happen. This is entirely because of your passion for our culture and I am honored to be part of this movement with you.

I have been reading your comments and the personal stories about what this culture means to our mental health are truly moving. I am just one person who felt like I had to write this down but seeing your engagement shows that this feeling belongs to all of us.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have joined this effort to bring back just one of our carnival events. If we can cross the one hundred mark together today it will really help show the authorities that our culture is worth protecting.

I see no reason why we cannot have a parade on Tuesday. Have a truck with music, one with drinks. Ask persons to wear last year’s costume or whatever they want, pay a band fee and we can have some clean fun on the road.
It is only fair that we get one since all the cases were imported, it is OK to be checked before and after the event but plz at least have jouverte this is our tradition this is our culture the jab is in our blood
Jouvert can work but soca monarch and the other can go next year because it late.
They should allow us to at least have the jouvert experience if anything since some artists may not be ready in time for soca monarch
I want jouvert I have missed the last few cause I was out of the country working finally I'm home...please give us that 1 day at least

Can we at least get Jouvert for both days please. We followed all regulations pertaining to Covid-19 we deserve a celebration.
