Ever feel like you want to do something, make a difference and don't know how I have never done something like this before but know that in a time just prior to the Olympics and during an economic recession that losing such an enormous event, HSBC's Celebration of Light, can be devastating in many ways. People from all over the world come to Vancouver to watch the firework displays and it may only be four days of an entire year, however, whether you go to one night, all four or none at all; it is clear to Vancouver, that to our city this is the one event that puts us on the map. This is the one Celebration that brings everyone together. I believe that this year, more now, than ever, Vancouver needs the HSBC Celebration of Light and I, fully, support, and look forward to, the reinstatement of the Fireworks.
