We the undersigned agree that the people of Shevington should be given the vote/ referendum on whether they want to continue paying more Tax than the rest of Wigan, or Not !!!
I also understand that if I live in the Sheviington Parish Council community then my signature will go towards asking for a governance review on the matter.

The feedback from local residents continues to confirm that there is significant frustration regarding the current tax arrangements in Shevington. I am currently preparing the formal request for a governance review to ensure that our concerns are presented to the relevant authorities.

I pay as much council tax as family in Appley Bridge living in houses twice as big as my small 2 uo 2 down. This is grossly unfair.
I feel that as I only receive the same services as everybody else in Wigan I should only be paying the same Council Tax
See no reason why we should be paying a premium. WE have the worst children's playground in the borough and it's out of bounds for as soon as it rains due to flooding. Yes the village is pretty, but that's down to volunteers who don't benefit from our extra taxes.
I see no benefits from paying more than the rest of Wigan. I want to be given the choice as to whether I make this payment or not. Every year I feel robbed.
we in almond brook/ Shevington moor Standish. have wanted out of the parish council for year's. we have campaigned for year's that the parish council's lack doing anything in this area , I hope you have more luck than we did we couldn't get past the Shevington parish council .
This is an extra tax and therefore it would be nice for wigan to explain and justify the need for this.

In my experience the Parish Council is corrupt and wastes tax payers monies to pay inflated prices to their crony contractors for work which tax payers have already paid to Wigan Council for that same work.
