we actually pulled it off and the graduation ceremony is happening in person. seriously cant thank you enough for sticking with me on this because we finally got the closure we deserve. keep an eye on your emails for the final logistics so we can finish this right.

Final supporters
This year the world was faced with a pandemic that no one was prepared for. While this is a situation that should not be taken lightly, as people have lost their lives and have been hospitalized, it is important to take into consideration how much the senior class has lost. None of us ever expected to leave school one day and then be told we wouldn’t return. For years, seniors have been guaranteed various activities, the biggest one, of course, high school graduation. The best months of our lives have been taken away from us, as we have already missed out on prom, college t-shirt day, senior skip days, spring sports, and our WISE internships. Being told we will graduate on a computer is unacceptable. All of us have worked tirelessly not just for the last four years, but for the last thirteen years. The seniors never had a chance to say goodbye to friends and teachers, and graduation is the last time we will be able to do this and be together. Without it, there will be no closure for the seniors who have developed bonds with their classmates over the last few years. The Class of 2020 deserves closure, we deserve to stand together and switch our tassels to the other side, we deserve to stand together and throw our caps up in the air and be proud of ourselves for all the hard work we have done. Even if our graduation date needs to be postponed, we deserve to walk together with all the proper safety precautions.

Graduation needs to be a memory our children will always remember. Let's not let this pandemic take away more than it already has.
Something better than a virtual graduation can be done. Let them space out 6ft apart and walk up and take their diploma off a table. Parents don’t even need to be there. It can be live streamed. Let these kids walk for graduation!
They absolutely deserve it. It will be a very important memory in their lives. I am sure it won’t be mandatory so whoever has concerns can stay home.
I think if done outside and in the summer when the virus should have die down a bit and everyone is wearing masks, gloves and social distancing; and perhaps limiting the amount of people there, to 2 per graduate, well then it should be safe enough to celebrate the day. Just have some rain dates ready if it is held outdoors.
Shame on the eufsd! People pay enough money to live here ! Our students deserve better ! How about all the funds that were supposed to be used for graduation ? What happens to that ? Give them a graduation they deserve it! Eastchester is a great place and is full of hardworking individuals! Do not call them spoiled or entitled! Look at other towns!

We deserve better for the boys soccer team guys ! Give the graduation money to the boys soccer team this fall they deserve it more then these seniors

This is a disservice to our children “EHS class of 2020” . These children are our future they are smart and resilient . They deserve to be recognized while being conscious of their surroundings .
