This is the daily struggle. Jayce was denied disability by the state because he has one arm and one leg paralyzed and not two arms or two legs, and not a big enough mental deficiency to qualify. Jayce tells me when his hand is "not working", he can't dress himself, can't read a book by himself, and I am scared to let him play by himself because of how often he falls. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy from his stroke and because of the non-repairable nerve damage and how he usesbjust the one side of his body he has developed severe scholiosis. Medical will only cover so much because he is not technically disabled on paper by their rules. Any outpatient therapy is unaffordable on my budget as a single mom with a new baby. It is crazy to me watching him struggle and get frustrated to say that he does not deserve all the extra help he can get, simply because his brim damage only affects one half of his body instead of two of the same limbs. With disability coverage Jayce could get regular chiropractic treatments, his splints paid for as he grows out of them, our travel for all his additional treatment covered, full coverage of Botox to relax the muscle tension, and so many other programs to help him grow into a successful independent adult. Please sign and support our little nuggie. If anyone deserves it it is this sweet boy.

I myself lost the use of my left side from a stroke and it's extremely limiting for all tasks.

It's disgusting the way this program is set up.. sad that people who need help don't get it but those that don't do..

This youngster deserves to lead as close to a normal life as possible & to be self sufficient. He should have a good life.

I've personally seen this sweet angel struggle and suffer, it's heartbreaking he isn't getting the deserved assistance he needs, especially when others out there do that are less "qualified"/ disabled.

Utah State needs to update their policy to include help for 2 limbs, not just 2 of the same type of limb.

This sweet little boy deserves the coverage for his disability. No child this young should have to go through life saying I can't or its not working when referring to what he should be able to so on a daily basis.
