Taylor is a wonderful 7-year-old, with a great sense of humour, and has a great character! When he was 4 years old he had a brain tumour which was successfully removed, but he had to undergo gruelling chemotherapy treatment following surgery. Whilst he is physically much better, and is free of the cancer right now, he also has some hearing loss and has now developed cataracts as a result of the treatment. Taylor has had 1:1 support since Reception class in primary school. He is currently in year 2 and still needs the support.
Unfortunately, Taylor's family and school were informed earlier this year that his funding for his 1:1 support will be revoked at the end of March. There have been two appeals against this decision, but both have been turned down! As a result Taylor will no longer receive personal support at school - and without it he will be unable to cope and access the curriculum satisfactorily. His education is at stake, and neither Taylor or his family deserve this!
I am appealing for as many signatories as possible to sign this petition to get his funding reinstated and so enable him to have an education, with the support he desperately needs, and to which he is entitled!
Thank you in anticipation!
im honestly blown away by how many people are standing behind taylor right now. seeing this much support makes me feel so much better about the fight ahead for his school funding.

im still waiting for someone from the council to actually sit down and talk but they keep sending the same automated responses. taylor deserves to be in class with the help he needs so im not giving up on this.

Absolute joke. He earned his support by fighting for his life. Dont let them cut him off now.

This is completely unfair. He has already been through so much and now they want to take away the one thing helping him succeed? Shame on them.

Keep Taylor's support in place. He needs that help to learn just like everyone else. Let him have a fair shot.

HOW IS THIS ALLOWED??? He is 7 years old and had a brain tumor. They should be doing everything to help him not making it harder.
