Tyranny is rearing its ugly head, unemployment numbers are sky rocketing,
businesses are going under, and livelihoods are being lost. The statewide
shutdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic is not warranted, and is not a
sustainable way to fight this invisible enemy. West Virginians are smart and
compassionate; who will take steps to protect those most vulnerable. West
Virginians are also hardworking people. We demand that Governor Justice reopen
West Virginia by May 1st 2020, and get West Virginians back to work.

im honestly blown away by how many people are feeling the same way i am right now. this momentum is showing that folks are ready to get back to their lives and i really appreciate all the support coming in.

Many West Virginians live in poverty as is. If we continue to keep the state closed and keep people unemployed, people will starve. Do we really want to subjugated thousands, or more, West Virginians to more poverty and starvation over a virus with a less than 1% fatality rate? People have to go to work so they can feed their families.
If we want to have a country, we must use common sense and assume personal responsibility and open slowly, smartly but OPEN.
It's time to get back to life, business are going under, people are loosing money buy not being able to work..AND our seniors DESERVE their day walking across a stage receiving their hard earned diplomas.
Enough of this shut down! Get WV back to work or this virus will not be your only concern! People will be sick with depression, alcohol and who knows what all else! The numbers do not support this shut down!!
I'm a single mom of 2 and I'm a waitress and I always relied on my tips to be able to buy what my children may may need for school or home. I do understand that this needs to be taken seriously but myself as a single mom I'm trying to do the best I can and I cant do that without being able to go to work.
I hope it doesn't take the loss of a loved one for you to open your eyes
Under our constitutional system, states have the power and responsibility for maintaining public order and safety. As we’ve seen since the outbreak began, decisions about limiting social interactions by ordering people to shelter in place, closing businesses and shutting schools are being made by governors and local officials. Those same officials will make the call about when to ease up.

Not only is this a violation of both the US & state Constitutions, it's not even economically sustainable. It's already a disaster. Imagine what's going to happen if we permit this shut down to continue.
