Senior quotes have been a tradition in the majority of yearbooks for a long time. To take senior quotes out of the yearbook is to take away a piece of our legacy. Every student has looked forward to their senior year; the year they get to choose a quote to define them as a person; the year they get to leave a personal piece of themselves for the generations that follow within the school. Many students choose to quote people they find inspiring. On the other hand, many choose harmlessly funny quotes, showing that students are allowed to have a sense of humor. While it is understandable that profanity should be limited, it is also unjust to ban the quotes for this class, and classes to follow, because of the mistakes of those before us. Senior quotes are a form of self expression and are a way of leaving a mark on the school. To show how passionate we are about keeping this element of the yearbook, sign below.

The administration is still ignoring us and hoping we just give up on our right to leave a legacy. They think they can silence our history because they are scared of a few jokes, but they have no idea how wrong they are.

Senuor quotes are such a memorable past time and mean so much to the seniors! I still remember mine!
Let them have their senior quotes! If inappropriate, then let the student edit as necessary
I feel like every person has something to say about their senior year and has a message to years to come why take that away?
Respectfully, as an alumni this is very dumb and untraditional to schools across the entire globe. They mean a lot to students and are something to look back on and remember their peers not just by their face. Please reconsider and keep the senior quotes.
A senior quote defines who we have become and leaves a part of us for future seniors to take any advice from the quotes and really see how far one can come in just 4 years

Quotes are an essential part of what makes Senior year so worthwhile. We have gone through many years of schooling and quotes are an honor we have earned from being diligent enough to come this far. Many things in life are difficult to handle, but that is what makes them worthwhile. A willingness to keep senior quotes in the yearbook makes a World of difference to the students. We have grown up being inspired by the quotes that others have left behind, and now that it is our turn to leave a legacy, we just want the opportunity to do it. Please reconsider the position that is been taken regarding this matter. It will just go to show that James Irwin cares more about its students well-being than convenience for the school.
