The Traditional Senior Privileges at Timber Creek High School have been revoked from the class of 2018. Things like senior release for lunch, senior yearbook quotes, and even club chords have been taken away from us and there has been no reason behind it. People pay a large abundance of money at this school to join and participate in clubs. The senior chords that we get from these clubs are what separate us from others at graduation. It shows that we went above and beyond and cared to be apart of something bigger than ourselves. These privileges have been a tradition at timber creek for years and it's not fair that this year we are the ones being punished. If you are also unamused by this ridiculous change then sign this petition. Your Voice Matters.

The feedback I have received from fellow seniors reveals a shared frustration regarding the sudden shift in our school traditions. I am currently working to arrange a formal meeting with the administration to understand the reasoning behind these specific policy changes. Our collective consensus is necessary to ensure the legacy of our graduating class remains intact.

Seeing this movement gain traction makes it clear that the frustration over these lost traditions is shared by many. It is encouraging to see our community come together to acknowledge the importance of these long-standing customs.

Too many people work too hard for honor cords for many of them just be erased from existence. Things like senior quotes and release are a part of tradition that help define someone's senior year and shouldn't be pulled from underneath them.

This is ridiculous. You can’t take away the culture and history of our school, for numbers in a folder and to “potentially” stop some other problems. Senior privledges help seniors feel a sense of accomplishment and importance, as if they’re being cheered to the finish line. Putting seniors on the same playing field as every other grade may even discourage productivity and mental health and stability. Maybe the person who thought of this, is the same person that spent 1,000 dollars on a fence instead of the other numerous problems at the school.

all I want is our privilages back it's not fair that I worked hard for my club and I don't get what was supposed to be given at the end.. that cord was supposed to be given to me so I could wear proudly at graduation and it also will glbe a question at my house when people come I could proudly say I got that for the hard work and dedication I put in to my club... and for senior quotes is something I should have that appropriately defines me to keep me going in life and it could possibly help others.. what our principal is doing is not fair or right to us and we should not be punished for it..... I want my privileges back and I need them back!!! thank you and have a good life...

I have paid multiple dues to clubs not only for volunteer hours but for the cords. I didn’t pay almost $100 just to not get any cords

I am a TC Alumni and for them to do this do any graduating class is unacceptable. To get the cords is why I joined my clubs so i can show them off as a product of hard work. This stops students from showing the world their achivements on such an imporant day

Things like this can’t be changed halfway through the year. We paid club dues for chords and we rightfully deserve them. We’ve been looking forward to senior privileges since we were freshmen! The rules can’t be changed once the game has already started.

Seriously stop trying to ruin my senior year, if we're not allowed to wear our chords on graduation, I want all my club dues back.
