Trading country is fading from radio, Gene and a couple more keep it the limelight. Gene has been popular for more than 30 years and deserves all the accolades associated with the Hall Fame.
This humble southern gentleman has contributed more to country music than several who are already inducted into the CMHOF. Ithe was recognized for his contribution! Gene continues to tour and entertain sold out crowds, who enjoy his shows tremendously.
Please let Gene Watson be a member of the Grand old opera he has been sing for over 50 years and he well deserves it !!!Please don't wait until he is deceased to inducted him in do it now so we the people can show him how much we love his music he is an awesome singer&person!!!
I have been a fan of Gene Watson for many years and I can't understand how the CMHOF keeps ignoring Gene while they put these so called country singers in the Hall who wouldn't know country if it hit them in the face.
Gene Watson should definitely be in the Hall of Fame, he is the real deal and so relative to real Counrty Music. He has never changed in any way the way he approaches a country song. I feel he is in the class of his own due to his marvelous voice which still sounds just like it did 30 years ago .

I have only seen Gene in concert once but he was great. We also got to talk to him after the concert, He was friendly, gave me a hug and I have never known famous people like him to care so much about his followers. Love to listen to him.
