The process of trying to get this band recognized feels like hitting a wall over and over again. I spent the morning reading through your stories about what this music meant to you and it reminded me why I keep pushing despite the silence from the people in charge.

Seeing the numbers climb like this after so much silence is exhausting but deeply validating. It confirms that the music still carries weight even when the institutions choose to look the other way.

Lowell George and Little Feat need to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their induction is way over due. We have listened to Lowell George and Little Feat since 1972 with Sallin’ Shoes. Then Dixie Chicken in 1974. I have really listened to Lowell George from the time that he was with Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention in l968. You all have my vote. Mark Paul
It is horrendous that a musician the stature of Lowell George is not in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I consider Lowell George and Little Feat to be one of the top five greatest Rock and Roll bands. Lowell George has been a part of my heart and soul for all of my life. Compare their 1972-79 body of work against any ROCK band in that era! That, as well as, their successful regrouping in the 80s makes this a no brainer. It's hard to comprehend them not being in.
Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne were influenced greatly by Little Feat as well among many others.
One of the very best bands of the seventies. A unique original sound and mixture of all the great American music like deep south soul, country and funk. And to me, Lowell one of the best singers, slideplayers and composers. And then the other guys and their great songs, singing and playing. Toplevel. Every drummer knows Ritchie. These guys were on many seventies songs of others artists. This band belongs to the best that American culture has brought us.
It is beyond time for the exceptional “Little Feat” to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Back when Dixie Chicken came out, people like the Rolling Stones (who tried to get george to leave little feat and join the stones) and most top bands around the world held little feat as their favorite band. Lowell and Little Feat where a major influence on music in the mid to late '70's.

Greatness should not be measured by commercial success and popularity but rather by uniqueness, influence on others and most importantly talent Little Feat, while not known by the mainstream, should not have that fact influence their qualifications to be in the RRHOF
