We're hoping to build a new carpark and we need your support!
Gaythorne RSL is proud to be an active part of this great community and we always endeavour to make the RSL a welcoming and comfortable place for all of our members, guests and the community at large.
In order to improve the traffic situation and road safety in the local area, we're seeking to build a new carpark on Tel-El-Kebir St here in Mitchelton.
As we enter the public consultation phase - in order to gain approval for the project - we're calling on members of the community to please support us by signing this petition to let Brisbane City Council know that you are in favour of the project.

I really thought this might just be a slow burn but the sheer amount of people backing the Tel-El-Kebir project is honestly blowing my mind right now. It is wild to see so many locals finally agreeing that we have a massive parking headache that needs fixing and I honestly think the council will have a hard time ignoring this much noise.

I am a WW2 veteran and a long-time member of Gaythorne RSL, having watched the district grow and other clubs prosper...I believe it is essential that we are able to extend our carpark and so allow us to compete.
this proposal will remove some on-street parking that now creates a hazardous situation
Needed for community activities.
I strongly support the construction of this new carpark.
The Gaythorne RSL needs more car parks.
This development serves the community interest well.

Off street parking is much needed in the area. With more units and multiple dwellings being built the roads that were used by horse and cart can't cope anymore
