Since my family were the original homesteader on this land mass in the 1600's any thing that can be done to preserve it would save it for others to use and as bonus they may even learn something about Portland's, colonial " Capisick".

Capisic Pond holds a lot of fond memories. My friends and I played in the over growth and build forts in summer. Now when I'm home to visit, I talk long walks with my dog and enjoy the great amount of nature that is the pond! The neighborhood survives and succeeds on the health and care of Capisic and all its associated ecosystems.

Capsic Pond is an important resource in our City. The longer we wait to preserve it, the more expensive it will be to fix the visible problems on the pond. Better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

Please fund this project. Losing the pond to the cattails would be a great loss to wildlife and humans alike. The rate of encroachment has increased rapidly the last few years and I'm concerned that if the dredging gets delayed until 2020 they'll be no open water left.

One of the most visited birding locations in Southern Maine, brings nature enthusiasts into Portland to enjoy all that this city has to offer including these jewels of natural habitat within the city proper.

I visit Capisic Pond and Park many times a year. The Pond is a treasure of Portland. My enjoyment of Capisic Pond goes back to the 1040s and 1950s when the Pond was wide open water and not in danger of becoming a swamp. Please restore the Pond.

preserving recreational areas in this city should be the mission statement of Portland. Keep people outside and active keeps the city happy
