Long Beach is highly recognized for its bike friendly environment and its outstanding aquatics programs but its soccer programs do not get the credit or support they need.

Along with AYSO, which supports thousands of youth soccer players, there are numerous adult leagues that use Long Beach parks and fields on a regular basis.

We currently have a great opportunity before us and we need your support. We have an opportunity to change some of our fields over to artificial turf with no additional costs to the community. Every year players are injured on our local fields due to maintenance and gopher hole issues. By replacing some of these fields, we could create a safer playing environment for our youth and gain additional recognition for this type of facility.

This type of playing environment has been around for years and is highly supported by many stakeholder throughout the Long Beach community.
