As you may know Burk County Highschool does not have a Soccer program. Soccer opens up many opportunities and keeps many students in shape. There are many students who have played for so long and are not ready to give it up as high school approaches. By signing this petition you are agreeing to help make a soccer team for Burke county high school and agree to support it if we are successful in creating one, giving our young boys and girls a program that will keep them engaged and working as productive youth. The school board can no longer pretend this isn't a priority for our community. This momentum proves that students are tired of being ignored and we are going to keep pushing until they finally give us the program we deserve.

Burke County needs a soccer team!! Literally the only one in the CRSA without one.
A soccer program is way over due at BCHS. These kids were all promised a program and it is passed time the school board lives up to those promises.
I've even considered transferring schools simply because we do not have a soccer team. What kind of high school does not have a soccer program? A school that only cares about football and is to lazy to start the program. My family has been several times to sit down with the board and every time there is a new excuse. There is absolutely NO excuse.
We teach our kids when they are little and they continue til they graduate. This is with all of the sports so why should soccer be different?
OH.... listen to this crap..... Found out yesterday from a Cross Creek player, that Cross Creek High School was supposed to come down to Waynesboro Friday to Play Burke County High School's soccer team. BC is on other school's season schedules.... BUT WE DONT HAVE A SOCCER TEAM... so explain that one to us???? We have been having sit down meetings for the last couple of years since these kids were playing in Middle school, trying to get a high school team going.
Soccer is a major sport worldwide...I would think our school system could get a soccer program going at Burke Co. High. Why not ?
