To whom it may concern at the FDA, We the petitioners below, fully understand the need to protect us from foods that would harm us, yet are puzzled by the banning of Kinder Eggs from import, sale, or being brought through customs. There are many things that surround us that a child could choke on, but we don't ban them. Toothpaste caps, paperclips, even raisins, yet we don't ban them from sale or raisins from consumption. In an effort at compromise we the petitioners believe that grown adults don't need protection from Kinder Eggs, and are the proper ones to decide if our own children are ready to eat the candy, and if the result of this petition is to limit sales only to adults is fair. But to raid adults and candy stores selling to adults is baffling, when terrorists plot our destruction every day. We just need common sense brought back to the selling of Kinder Eggs.
