I, Chris Lucente, was recommended for expulsion on April 9, 2008 for being under the influence of marijuana. With less than 25 days of school left, I was about to graduate. Now, if I get expelled I lose all chances of having TOPS. I will have to go get my GED and pay for college by myself. Now what good does it do to expel me when I\'m about to graduate Without TOPS, I probably won\'t end up going to college like I have planned my whole life due to lack of funds. Lafayette Parish Handbook says any student under the influence or in possession of drugs is automatically expelled, so I am making this petition to possibly get enough signatures to show the school that to expel me this close to graduation is illogical. My trial is on Monday April 14 at 11:00 A.M., so it doesn\'t leave much time. Although, this probably will not work, please sign this to give me at least some hope of graduating. I have been going to school for 13 years and I do not want to stop without graduating. Thanks so much. Peace and Love, Chris Lucente
