We, classmates of Cherenet Guluma, are writing this petition to respectfully appeal the decision regarding his recent suspension.

Throughout our time with Cherenet, we have come to know him as a respectful, dedicated, and a good individual. While we understand that certain issues may have arisen, we firmly believe that one mistake should not overshadow his overall character and potential. We have seen in Cherenet a genuine sense of remorse and a strong desire to make amends and move forward in a positive direction.

As classmates and peers we have witnessed his kindness, his willingness to help others and his contributions to our academic and social environment. Cherenet has shown himself to be someone capable of reflection, responsibility and personal growth.

We humbly request that the suspension be reconsidered and an alternative form of disciplinary action be applied one that allows Cherenet to continue his education and grow from this experience. A corrective approach one that could help him reflect, learn and prove his commitment. We kindly ask that the punishment be changed to something that allows him to stay in school and learn from this situation.
