This petition aims to achieve free public transport for all high school attending children. On weekends- saturday and Sunday, free transport will be from 9am until 5pm. On school term holidays it will be free all the time. On school days- bus pass travel applies. Public transport refers to all modes of public transport for example: trains, buses and ferries. The funding for this will be drawn from local or state government. Please sign the below petition if you agree. IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU ARE FROM SAINT. PATRICK'S COLLEGE PLEASE DO NOT SIGN! (as you will be signing a hard copy during homerooms next week)

The stories shared in the comments prove how vital reliable transit is for students trying to hold down part-time jobs or reach extracurriculars. I am currently drafting a formal proposal for the local transport board. Email your district representative today to demand they prioritize this issue during the upcoming budget sessions.

Yes pls. Parents cant always drive us everywhere and we shouldn't have to pay to get to school or practice.

Great idea. It makes it way easier for young people to actually get around the city safely.
