so, 2016's year 12's listen up. Formal is that time of our school year that a lot of us have been waiting for and it has been bought not only my attention but to others that we aren't allowed to have our own choice in our formal dates due to them being 'outsiders'. I'm sure that we're not the only one who has a boyfriend or girlfriend who we'd like to bring to our one and only formal. So what I'm asking you today is that if you agree that we should have our choice in our formal dates and that we shouldn't be restricted to only having other Tyndale students as our dates then sign this petition. We need as much support as possible in order to have this rule prevoked as early as possible.

Thank you for your support.

The teachers are allowed to bring their own partners... They dont have to take fellow teachers so we shouldnt have to take fellow students

As a student in year 10 at tyndale I really hope this works for the future. If you can't bring the people you love to your formal, after buying dresses/suits, shoes and many other expensive things to make yourself feel good AND paying for your ticket, it's a slap in the face to not be able to bring your partner if he/she does not attend Tyndale. If we arent allowed to bring outsiders, then we shouldnt have to pay for tickets

I pay for my child to go to school and get an education that is all. if the school wants to throw in a formal that which I may add has to be paid for by students attending, I'm sure it won't be hard to get their date to pay for a ticket also. my child and as well as the other students should be able to bring who they'd like to formal without being questioned or told no.

I had my school formal a few years ago, we were allowed to bring whoever we wanted as long as the school had their name and the deposit for their ticket. I think that is more than fair. I will be highly dissapointed if Tyndale keeps this silly rule.

Let them take who they want. Give them the opportunity to be responsible. I mean come on you want them to make the biggest decision of their lives like a week later, show them you trust them.

As its suppose to be the highlight of ones schooling years wouldn't it be nice to share it with that person who has been there for and with you through everything .
