We the undersigned petition Sutherland Shire Council for once and for all effectively solve the traffic issues we experience on a daily basis every school day on Forestgrove Drive Menai caused by the operation of a school drop off and pick up by Holy Family School. We demand Council act immediately, effectively and involve the local residents in the decision. Should this not be possible we demand the gate be closed off, the bay's closed off and drop offs and pick ups suspended from this location.

So stupid putting the drop by off/pick up zone in the only entry and exit for hundreds of homes. If you need an ambulance for a live and death situation during peak drop off/pick up times, and you live in the Woodlands Estate, you’re as good as dead
I am a carer for my mother who is 89 and who lives on The Woods Circuit. I would be devastated if something happened to her while she had to wait for an ambulance that was critically required and they couldn't get through due to school traffic blocking the roundabout.
The selfishness of parents and lack of interest by the school and council is astounding. I have called the school and council on a number of occasions about this traffic situation and have basically been told to bugger off.
The daily traffic chaos this drop off zone creates is dreadful. The road is narrow and not suitable or safe for heavy school traffic and children. The amount of traffic at a standstill heavily impacts the large roundabout on Menai Rd making it very unsafe for through traffic also.
The gate was originally put there for the local kids to walk to school from the estate the drop off zone needs to removed for the safety of the kids and pet living in the estate
I suffer from allergy and am very concerned that an ambulance will not be able to reach me in time during peak school drop off hours.
The traffic is totally disrupted around school pick up time & is highly unsafe.

Takes easily 20 plus minutes to get out of estate during morning and afternoon school drop off and pickup times. The grass verges are constantly being ripped up with all the 4 wheel drive parking. I dread the day an ambulance can’t get through for an emergency.
