I suffer from allergy and am very concerned that an ambulance will not be able to reach me in time during peak school drop off hours.

Takes easily 20 plus minutes to get out of estate during morning and afternoon school drop off and pickup times. The grass verges are constantly being ripped up with all the 4 wheel drive parking. I dread the day an ambulance can’t get through for an emergency.

Most of those suggestions have been put to the school and council over a long period of time and have been rejected.

Every comment on this petition is complaining. Here are the solutions:
1. Stagger the start and finish times of Aquinas and Holy Family. Start and finish Aquinas earlier as older kids can make their way to and from school without parental guidance unlike primary school kids. This means primary school parents do not have to change work commitments etc. to fit with changes. suggest having a 30 minute difference in finishing times to make any change meaningful and effective.
2. Hire a traffic moderator. Jointly funded by council and the school. This moderator prevents cars from stopping dead in waiting bays or on the road and blocking traffic. The moderator would also likely be a councilworker who has the ability to issue traffic fines for parking in the kiss and drop section.
3. School needs to send out firm and instructive guidance to parents on a regular basis rather than ad hoc. Parents should also be encouraged to park and walk where possible or look at other options (front gate, bus, walking etc). School should also give instructions about what cars should do in the event of an emergency vehicle trying to get through (I.e drive and get out of the way or pull over - simple stuff but clearly people don’t get it).
Please contact me if you need further ideas. I appreciate the value of a petition but complaining will only get you so far. Come up with some meaningful solutions so the problem can be resolved.

Turning right from Allison crescent around the roundabout is impossible at certain times. It is quicker to go around the loop and exit near 7/11. Please fix this!

The queueing around the entirety of the roundabout at the junction of Menai Rd and Allison Crescent causes major traffic problems mornings and afternoons- it can take 10-15 minutes to exit Allison crescent to turn right onto Menai Rd as obvious school drop offs and pickups sit blocking the roundabout completely

Same problem outside the Catholic school at Oyster Bay. Causes problems at several intersections with conga lines of cars snaking all the way down these roads. These kids should be walking to school.

I live in Dandarbong Ave.
Same traffic caos mornings and afternoon. Impossible to get out of my driveway. Never try to get to Menai market place during peak school times.

I always need to leave extra early to get to another local school as the parents of Holy Family students continually BLOCK the roundabout which stops me being able to drive straight through on Menai Road.
Enough is enough

Since Kirrawee was fixed the Bangor by pass has gotten so bad. It's like it was done in purpoe to make kirrawee look better.

I encounter this daily (both directions), as I live in Pioneer Drive Menai ,work at ANSTO and my children attended Inaburra. There are days when I cannot exit my street and worse, I have to unsafely take risks entering the roundabout. It is a bottleneck and causes illegal driving actions with drivers guessing what to do. Please fox

It is disgraceful that one school shuts down entire roads. In an emergency this could be devastating
