Ford UK confirmed a formal recall program to address the OBD port vulnerability. We have secured the security patch updates required to prevent these unauthorized engine starts. Our focus now shifts to monitoring the implementation process to ensure every affected owner receives the necessary hardware protection.

This petition, on behalf of the Focus ST and Focus RS owners clubs, has been created to bring awareness to Ford UK of the thefts of which the OBD port had been used to start the engine of the vehicles and driven away, all within 30 seconds.
This effects the Ford Focus RS, Focus ST and Fiesta ST's.
Within the last 48 hours ( Tuesday the 5th of May 2015 to Thursday the 7th 2015) 10 cars have been stolen, all using the method described above.
We as owners clubs hold Ford UK accountable for the negligence to the security systems and alarms fitted to these vehicles from the factory.
We hope to achieve action from this petition by Ford UK and to see a review and callback on the cars for updates to the security systems.

My car was stolen 7th may 2015 Taken in 30 seconds using OBD this system is flawed not fit for purpose I feel that ford should take resonable for this sell cars with push button start or keyless entry are complete flawes
I think Ford should do a recall on the Mk2 Focus RS, why should the customers have to pay for extra security after buying a car which let's face it , is not a cheap car when Ford is aware of such cars being stolen, where is your customer satisfaction Ford UK.
Only had my Focus ST 2008 3 weeks ago. Crazy how many have been going missing all down to Fords silly push start button. Really scared mine will be next and also asking myself why i paid 10k for a car that has no security at all.
This needs to be sorted!! Why should we all be paying more money for extra security devices when they should come with enough security already! We spend £15000+ on a new ford and they can be stolen within 30 seconds!!!!
i own a mk2 focus St and the growing thefts are a massive concern. I strongly believe a small effort from Ford will help to regain the trust from buyers in their after sales from ford. Give back that loyal name that we used to trust!!!

Fiesta ST3. Cars for a lot of people are their pride and joy. Having such a security flaw is sickening to know and ruins the enjoyment you should get from ownership. All we can ask is that this is addressed in some way.
