IF YOU OWN A FORD TRUCK OR EXPEDITION MADE BETWEEN 1997 AND 2004 YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM IT SEEMS THAT THE ALUMINUM CYLINDER CYLINDER HEADS THAT HOLD THE SPARK PLUGS IN THE ENGINE COULD BE EJECTED OR SHOT OUT OF THE HOLE POTENTIALLY CAUSING A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD AND CAUSING MAJOR ENGINE DAMAGE.IF THE SPARK PLUG IS SHOT OUT AND IT RUPTURES THE FUEL INJECTION RAIL WHICH ARE LOCATED RIGHT ABOVE THE SPARK PLUG AN EXPLOSION OR FIRE WILL PROBABLY OCCUR.EVEN IF THE FUEL LINES ARENT RUPTURED THE EJECTION STRIPS OUT THE THREADS WHICH HOLD THE SPARK IN PLACE RENDERING THE CYLINDER HEAD USELESS AND HAS TO BE REPLACED THE COST TO HAVE THIS REPAIR DONE WILL BE AROUND $3000 TO $5000 AND THE WARRANTY OR EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER THIS COST APPROXIAMATELY 17 MILLION VEHICLES ARE NEEDED TO BE RECALLED AND FORD SAYS IT IS NOT A DESIGN FLAW .PEOPLE, IF A SPARK PLUG HOLE HAS AS FEW AS 3 THREADS TO HOLD THE SPARK PLUG IN PLACE (AND THIS IS DEFINETLY NOT ENOUGH THREADS ESPECIALLY IN THE MATERIAL THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD IS MADE, ALUMINUM.)THIS IS A DESIGN DEFECT THAT WHETHER THEY WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT IS THEIR (FORD MOTOR COMPANY)RESPONSIBILITY.PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO PROTECT YOU ,YOUR FAMILY AND OTHER CONSUMERS .SPEAK OUT AND DO NOT ALLOW THIS CORPORATION TO GET AWAY WITH A HUGE SCANDALOUS COVER-UP.
Is it just me or is this momentum actually starting to feel real because we are hovering right near that hundred signature mark and I really want to hit it before I head out to grab more coffee. I have been staring at these numbers all morning and thinking about those blown out threads in the aluminum heads because it is just criminal that they think they can ignore us. If you know someone else with one of these trucks just tell them to look up this page right now so we can finally get over this hump.

We have a 2000 Ford excursion with a v10 Triton motor. It blew out 2 plugs within a month. It has 125k miles on it. Ford needs to do a mass recall. This is extremely dangerous especially when your on the interstate traveling around 75mph and it happens.

A spark plug blew out of my 2000 ford excursion, leaving my family including my 11 week old baby stranded over 100 miles from home, in the scorching heat. Terrible day... expensive fix

My 99 expedition has 140k and just shot the number 3 plug out on the highway. Loudest noise ever. My mechanic told me the threads are completely gone. This is total garbage.

Happened to me last week in my 03 f150. Scared the heck out of me thought my engine blew up. Cost me 2k to get it fixed at a shop. Ford knows this is junk.
