My airbag warning light is and has been on since I bought the car last year. I am surely not the first owner and I have 181,000 MI on the car. The car is mechanically sound and runs great. There really shouldn't be a mileage cutoff since it is a manufacturing problem that plagues first gen. Minis. 2002 Mini Cooper S
Light is always on. Dealer wants hundreds just to look at it. So fed up with this car.
My 05 Cooper has had the light on for months. BMW UK told me it was wear and tear which is a joke considering it never goes off. Should be a recall.
Mini cooper- bought in Miami Florida.
Air light is coming on again and again even we have changed control unit

Airbag warning light stayed on all the time. BMW wanted £99/hr plus VAT just to check. They did not acknowledge it was a fault.
