Flagler Beach is planning to reduce the number of lifeguards and the area of beach covered this year. We are sure to have more visitors to our beaches this year due to relaxed Covid restrictions and increasing population; now is not the time to reduce coverage! Let the City of Flagler Beach know how important our safely guarded beach is to us!

The city officials think they can quietly gut our beach safety while we look the other way. We need to hit that five hundred signature mark immediately to force them to acknowledge the danger they are creating.

Someone losing their life on our beach would be a disaster and poor look for our wonderful community. Could also potentially open is up to litigation that would cost is more in the long run.
Flagler Beach has always been an amazing beach for everyone. The life guards are so needed as we have a lot of seniors especially over the age of 70 years old and above. Also the safety to the children and teens. This area has become very populated that now we have all group ages. Please keep the life guards. Thank You
We are extremely concerned about our grandchildren’s safety while swimming in the ocean. We come to Flagler Beach BECAUSE of the lifeguards, and also frequent the stores and restaurants. I think business would be lost if lifeguards are not here.
With the reduction in parking on the south side after the A1A rebuild north side gets busier and busier stretching all the way down to Beverly we needs more guards not less. Protect the safety of Flaglers best asset. Makes sense to me.
As an Alumni Flagler Beach lifeguard, I know how vital this role is for public safety on our beaches. Especially with the growth that has occurred in Flagler County, we can't afford to reduce the lifeguard budget and personnel at this time of need.
The rip current is dangerous and many visitors are not aware

The lifeguards at Flagler are important. I have seen them work as a team to save someone sucked out by a rip current. 10 life guards worked together to save the mom drifting out to sea.
