The following residents of Marlborough, CT respectfully request the Marlborough Board of Finance to maintain funding for lifeguards at Lake Terramuggus for the summer of 2010. No lifeguards at the lake would result in no swim lessons, no lake access for the long-running Netto's Camp, no renting of the pavilion and closed bathrooms. Lake Terramuggus is one of Marlborough's finest assets, and we believe it is critically important to continue to invest in this asset. The lake is a very popular place for families during the summer months, especially during this time of economic constraint. Not funding the lifeguards could also have a negative effect on home values in town.

I truly never imagined that two hundred and fifty people would care this much about our lake. This incredible response belongs entirely to you and your dedication to our community.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Keep the guards employed and stop trying to cut corners on our town assets.

The lake is the main reason we moved to this town. if they close it down what is even the point of living here?

It is honestly embarrassing that they are even considering this. keep the budget for the lake open.
