Dear Petsmart, Recently there has been a new rule that will not allow cats with FIP or FIV upt to the adoption centers. This rule will hurt these cats chances of getting adopted. FIP cats are to sick to come up the the adoption center anyway but FIV cats can live a full cats life with the disease. The only way cats can get it is through a deep bite that draws blood. The reason why these cats got FIV in the first place was that when they were on the streets they didn't fight back against the tomcats with FIV. They are so loving and gentle that is why they did't fight back. These cats are hard to adopt to the steriotype of these cats as "sick". With this rule change it will be hard for pontential adopters to see how sweet and gentle these cats are. Please reconsider your new change and allow FIV cats back in the adoption canters.
