To whom it may concern,
The purpose of this letter is to bring to your attention that the Home Owners of Fireside Norterra have numerous concerns about the current leadership of our community. Over the course of the last several months our once beloved community has become a polarized and frustrating experience. The community members at large have had apprehensions for months, and overall morale is at an all-time low. We feel that we are left with no choice but to petition the HOA to consider new onsite management - with personnel that have experience in running a first rate community. We all built our homes within this community because of the promise of the community, and we believe that this community is at risk.
We cite the following items as examples of our concern(s):
Ø No experience
Ø No customer service or community facing skill
Ø Email communication is severely lacking
o Intermittent response to direct emails
o Mass emails poorly written, attachments fail
Ø Significant attrition within community center staff
Ø Meeting schedules not provided
Ø No annual survey
Ø Website is outdated and inaccurate
Ø Promises of Events – No results
o We would encourage management to network with Fireside Desert Ridge for ideas
Ø No support for community requests (ex: Hazel Penner lemonade stand)
Ø Facility Maintenance
o Pool is dirty
o Lighting broken/exposed sockets
o Center bathrooms are filthy

I have finalized the formal grievance letter detailing our concerns regarding facility maintenance and management performance. This document is now being prepared for delivery to the board members to ensure our specific requirements for new leadership are officially on the record.

The volume of support for this petition has gained enough traction that I have requested a formal meeting with the HOA board to present our list of grievances. I am currently drafting a letter of intent to ensure they acknowledge these management deficiencies on the record.

Broken gym equipmen, poorly maintained pools, poorly trained staff, amateurish emails, dirty steam room....I'm over it. Bring back the Fireside we all agreed to pay our dues to support.
How many times does our jacuzzi have to get vandalized before something is done? He was more concerned about the jacuzzi rule "sign" then the actual jacuzzi condition and protection at the last board meeting. We need a spot light, and a camera - it isn't that hard. Please Board Hear Us Speak!
I am a sitter to a resident in Fireside. I have witnessed the harsh tone to kids who barely raise their voices playing inside the center by managers office, and the lack of events or care regarding lack of events. The pools are dirty and broke, and the lifeguard was sleeping last week. I feel for the residents.
It started when he yelled (seriously yelled) at that child at the easter egg hunt for not having a wristband. I watched the residents look at each other in horror… That was the start of the lack of professionalism and staff left that week. We need to get back on track with fresh air. I hope the board makes a change quickly.
Agree with petition and I think we need to also ask our Board President to resign. As a resident himself, he should not have let this community get this bad. He was on a total power trip last night. He needs to also step down for hiring this manager and not listening to resident concerns.
There is a counter point to the negativity and bashing of the Board of Directors and Manager of Fireside. First, the Board, and Manager who just left, are good people who did not earn or deserve the slander and libelous comments being written. The Board are residents volunteering their time and energy to the benefit of others who won't. By reading through the comments some are accurate and others are outright lies and slander intended to damage personalities, families, and careers. The bashers who sit on the sidelines and perpetually critique the good deeds of others while dwelling on the elements of the community's business that are imperfect. I know who many of you are and trust me you are just as imperfect as those you are bashing. Your businesses are problematic and your personalities are callus, rude and insensitive. None of you would like to be treated the way you are treating the Board and Manager. Many of you who signed this petition don't even live in the Fireside community. The residents signing this petition are largely perpetual complainers who will never be satisfied under any circumstances. Several of the petition signers refuse to comply with the CC&Rs and this their way to divert the attention away from their own issues i.e. fines, landscape violations, and just outright refusing to comply with the CC&Rs they signed when they purchased their properties. One Board Member accurately pointed out how initiatives like this petition are damaging to Norterra's property values by discouraging possible buyers. If you are upset with your neighbor's overnight parking, unapproved driveway extensions, trash cans, sport courts, non-compliant plants, no landscape, poorly maintained landscape, play structures etc. you can find the violators signing this petition and their names listed below. To be clear, I do not endorse removal of the onsite management or this petition, but the only way to have a counter point published is to sign it.
Poorly managed, never returns emails and seldom phone calls. Spending money in the wrong places.

Do you want to see how bad our community is? Go swim at the pool and look at the condition -walk around at night and see lack of lights (broken lights) - drive around and see all the yard and street violations - his priority is our American Flag (that has been fixed 3 times now) and new TV's for the community center and 5.00 pool guest fees. We need a new manager now!
