There is a counter point to the negativity and bashing of the Board of Directors and Manager of Fireside. First, the Board, and Manager who just left, are good people who did not earn or deserve the slander and libelous comments being written. The Board are residents volunteering their time and energy to the benefit of others who won't. By reading through the comments some are accurate and others are outright lies and slander intended to damage personalities, families, and careers. The bashers who sit on the sidelines and perpetually critique the good deeds of others while dwelling on the elements of the community's business that are imperfect. I know who many of you are and trust me you are just as imperfect as those you are bashing. Your businesses are problematic and your personalities are callus, rude and insensitive. None of you would like to be treated the way you are treating the Board and Manager. Many of you who signed this petition don't even live in the Fireside community. The residents signing this petition are largely perpetual complainers who will never be satisfied under any circumstances. Several of the petition signers refuse to comply with the CC&Rs and this their way to divert the attention away from their own issues i.e. fines, landscape violations, and just outright refusing to comply with the CC&Rs they signed when they purchased their properties. One Board Member accurately pointed out how initiatives like this petition are damaging to Norterra's property values by discouraging possible buyers. If you are upset with your neighbor's overnight parking, unapproved driveway extensions, trash cans, sport courts, non-compliant plants, no landscape, poorly maintained landscape, play structures etc. you can find the violators signing this petition and their names listed below. To be clear, I do not endorse removal of the onsite management or this petition, but the only way to have a counter point published is to sign it.

The "community feel" of Fireside at Norterra has been in a downward spiral for several years, and it's getting close to bottoming out. The pride we all felt in Fireside ownership - not just buying a home, but investing in the community we were sold/promised - has all but evaporated, and the void replaced by an uncomfortable and sometimes argumentative relationship with the management.
Do you still feel completely welcome at the Community Center? Do you feel like you have the right to speak up when something is broken, and get the feeling you'll actually be heard?
Fireside at Norterra is broken, but can be fixed with a new, enthusiastic community manager that empowers staff and residents to plan community-centered events on a regular basis while given the support of the staff as well as using the facilities we already pay for. The Community Center is a ghost town because residents don't feel welcome; the pools have become even less friendly with the hourly wristband checks.
There's still time to fix Fireside at Norterra, but it's quickly running out.

I think we need a clean slate including the front desk and board, including manager (which is a given) - negative attitudes are so rude and out of control. We all must speak up at the board meetings! Don't let them stall to prolong the meetings so no one will speak and just leave- speak up in the beginning. We have to unite Fireside! Give the board no excuse not to act! Our neighborhood is in such despair.

I have moderate use of the community center and it never goes smoothly. There are always issues, lack of communication, and just an all around feeling that no one is running the center as you would expect for what is costs. I have made no attempt to use the faculties more as a result of my past experiences here.

Broken gym equipmen, poorly maintained pools, poorly trained staff, amateurish emails, dirty steam room....I'm over it. Bring back the Fireside we all agreed to pay our dues to support.

How many times does our jacuzzi have to get vandalized before something is done? He was more concerned about the jacuzzi rule "sign" then the actual jacuzzi condition and protection at the last board meeting. We need a spot light, and a camera - it isn't that hard. Please Board Hear Us Speak!

This is the first week I could go to the community center and breathe knowing Bob was on vacation and wouldn't be there. You could just sense the difference in staff and vibe in the building. No one, you are paying, should make you feel uncomfortable and be rude. This is a community - shouldn't be isolation. I would put my name but I am nervous about Bob retaliating., as I have seen him do.

Our recent experiences with Fireside Norterra have been disappointing and we don't even feel like we are a part of a community.

Not blaming anyone but this our opinion. The communication regarding community events is severely lacking. The staff morale at the clubhouse appears to be extremely low whenever we are there. The previous events coordinator's departure was abrupt. The execution of the contingency plan to keep the community events sustained at the previous level failed.

I too have noticed the decline of the community property. This is such a fantastic community there should be someone in place to continue to make Fireside a community a desirable place to live. I would also like to state that if the Board fails to act then the board needs to be replaced as well.

As an almost 8 year resident of Fireside, I have seen a few changes (positive and negative) over the years. Nothing is perfect and this is a great community. However, since Bob arrived, the overall trend has been negative. It may not be all his fault, but we are past the point where that is the issue. It is clear that Bob has lost the confidence of a sufficiently large proportion of the residents, so the Board has to let him go. It is not a blame game, just reality. If the Board can't make that decision soon, then maybe it is time to requisition a members' meeting if the bylaws allow for that.

I am a sitter to a resident in Fireside. I have witnessed the harsh tone to kids who barely raise their voices playing inside the center by managers office, and the lack of events or care regarding lack of events. The pools are dirty and broke, and the lifeguard was sleeping last week. I feel for the residents.

embarrased after watching him roll his eyes and smirk while a resident was cryin while voicing he concerns at the most recent HOA meeting. This is a terrible display of humanity and it's not what I want at my community.

AGREE with Jaye and Barb and ALL other comments - there is a MAJOR issue also with the current board. I think the community wants to be active- but are limited until board elections in January - no one that speaks out would have been elected and hasn't. We can't wait until January elections with this joker! We have to speak out now. This joker is killing our community morale

I totally agree, however unless homeowners are willing to step up and become active participants in their community the signing of a petition will not help... The advisory board has turned the community into a less desirable community... I will help you with whatever you need...

How can I vote Fireside for Best Community in Ranking Arizona when its not? It is ironic he pushes us to vote, when we can't vote because he is the issue. I can not recommend even my friends to live here right now. The management is horrible. What other community has a petition? Wake up AAM - he is not our answer
