For years now BBC have shown less and less of the field events when they show athletics on TV. Now I am trying to raise awareness and make a change so we get to see the all the field events and all the track events, this would mean EQUALITY. I am also hoping the BBC will remove the pundits and show more of the sport and just have commentators. I am hoping you will agree and sign this petition and share with friends etc.
The petition has reached one hundred signatures today. It is encouraging to see that so many others share the desire for balanced coverage of field events.

As a parent of an aspiring thrower (11 year old daughter) I believe it is important to give these events as much coverage as those on the track. Allowing future competitors the chance to watch their idols compete, to watch their techniques and learn from them.

Do not understand why as viewers we are not given the opportunity to enjoy the field events. It is an insult to those athletes who are so dedicated and train just as hard as the track athletes. Wake up BBC give the public what they want to see and enjoy.

I absolutely agree 100% that field events should be given more air time on TV. As things stand it seems as though field events are merely used to fill in time between running and 'old has beens' talking about running. It's called track and field for a reason!

I agree wholeheartedly and have spoken to this with Steve Cram. My son is now the NO1 hammer thrower in GB and would love to see more of this event on TV . As a lwevel 3 throws coach working on all of the throws it would be great to see more of them all

As a thrower and coach it is enormously frustrating to not see all the field events, qualifying rounds as well as the finals: I have given up on BBC and watch Eurosport as they do show the above, equally bad commentary but at least we do see the throwers and jumpers.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, less chat more action. Why do we need to watch every step of a 10,000m or all the build up and false starts in a 100m when there is so much great action going on in the field. So disrespectful to 50% of the athletics world!
