The events that happened at Mr. FFA were completely inappropriate. If the dress code is necessary and going to be enforced, it needs to be enforced equally. I'm curious as to how during the FFA event students were allowed to pay money to see boys in bikinis but girls are removed from class for a bra strap. Secondly, the utter mockery and offensiveness that this event portrayed for the LGBTQ+ community and women in general, should never be endorsed. There were no repercussions and there was never an apology from FFA. School should be a safe, welcoming environment for everyone and this should never happen again. Please support us by signing the petition, spreading the news, and come to the Feminist Club meetings on tuesdays in C203 during ILT. (To clarify this picture is not being used to target or represent individual people, but the principle of event.)

The hypocrisy behind the rules enforced at this event is still weighing heavily on me and so many others who reached out to share their own experiences. We are preparing to bring these accounts directly to the administration because the current silence from leadership is unacceptable.

Seeing this much momentum confirms that I am not the only one who felt deeply sidelined by the double standards at that event. It is incredibly validating to know that so many of you believe our school environment must be held to a higher level of respect.

there’s a difference between doing a 30 minute show vs wearing clothes all day. I agree it was pretty inappropriate but, it is what it is
This was mainly for laughs and for comedy not for hatred . If it offended you then you should of not went to the event and paid . This club is going too far . They did not offend or mention LGBTQ they were making fun of themselves . The principal was laughing and gammons was laughing all the teachers enjoyed it . It did not interrupt no environment at all it was something fun to enjoy a laugh . Enjoy some humor . And not get offended there was no reason to get offended .

Not sure how wearing short shorts or a tied shirt offends the entirety of the lgbt community, but I believe you’re missing the point of the show. It was for fun. If your principal doesn’t have a problem with it, which, clearly she doesn’t as she was in the audience, then what/who’s the problem? You or the “FFA”, which, on a side note, is a national organization, not just an AR organization. Have fun reaching 1000.
