In a recent dress code violation, a male student of Hesperia High School was taken to the office and threatened suspension due to wearing a bandana on his head to keep his hair out of his face, especially during athletics. When the student questioned why a female in the same class was allowed to continue to wear the bandana on her head, he was informed it was a fashion accessory designed to keep her hair out of her face, but was not appropriate for a male to wear. It is because of events such as the above stated that the undersigned students of Hesperia High School hereby petition for gender equality within our school dress code. All dress code guidelines and consequences must be applied to every student, regardless of gender and/or usage of such dress items.

This is ridiculous. It is just a piece of cloth. If it keeps hair out of his face for practice then he should be allowed to wear it. Rules should apply to everyone equally its 2018 not 1950.
