The increase in public interest regarding our request for the closure of Reindeer Close is truly encouraging. This momentum indicates that our community concerns are shared by many neighbors who prioritize local safety and security. I am currently preparing to present this collective feedback to the relevant authorities.

As a student having to wait for my loft at 6am in the morning, especially in winter, i am afraid as you don't know who is outside the gate and it is super dark

The closure would be a huge deterrent to the criminals who frequent our area. My own laptop was stolen from my dining table, my sons car was broken into, our garage door was forced open. This is just to mention a few of the incidents that we have to contend with. We have to incur huge costs to keep our homes, properties and possessions safe. It involves putting up cameras, alarm systems, electric fencing, barbed wire and high walls.

Whenever there has been a break in, they run for that gap and canal first. It's a quick and easy escape route. Residents are fearful to run after the criminal element without being able to see what's around the corner waiting for them. Close the gap and it will certainly look less attractive to the criminals.

There's far too much break-ins and theft also cable theft happening in these cal-de-sacs namely Reindeer Close, 4th Ave and Gazelle Close. I suggest that these three roads be fenced off from the canal. Just over a week ago thugs climbed onto our yard roof and stole our solar light and panel. They gain access from a vacant plot behind my house which is in 4th Ave next to the canal. This is unacceptable and something need to be done about it.

I believe the road must be closed off. It was never meant to be a thoroughfare. The easy access has now become an escape route for criminals.

I would feel much safer if they close the end of the road

As one of the homes on the corner of the Cul de sac, we have regular activity with strange faces and nameless people shouting at the gate for work, food or anything else they can get their hands on. We have an open property behind us an there is regular activity there as well as we see it on our backyard camera. It is scary how many peeps walk these streets and the faces not known to the area. Please help us

It would be so much safer with the access from the Kanal and into Reindeer Close completely closed off.
