This petition is not to prevent events at the Green, rather it is to ask that Glasgow Green events (those with approval or not) are planned with formal consultation and meaningful engagement with local residents & groups.
Any resident who feels that there is no obvious way to obtain information or to share their concerns or needs in relation to any of the 33 events in 2018 should sign here. At present, the choice about whether to consult with the community lies with the few. The method by which views are collated are largely dictated by event organisers. Rather, consultation should be ongoing, meaningful and reflective of the collective needs of residents and The Green alike.

I fully support a collaborative approach for all events at Glasgow Green which allow residents’ feedback, comments and concerns to be addressed PRIOR to permission being granted to any and all events at the Green.

Living right next to the park is a nightmare during the summer months with the noise and the mess. We just want to be asked before they block off our streets again.
