"Enough is Enough: Restore Stable Electricity to Ago Palace Now!"

Urgent Petition: Restore Stable Electricity to Ago Palace Canal Feeder – Households and Businesses Are Suffering!
To: The CEO & Stakeholders of Ikeja Electric
We, the residents and business owners of Ago Palace Way, particularly those under the Canal Feeder, are facing unbearable hardship due to the sudden and unjustified drop in power supply. What was once a Band A service with a minimum of 22 hours of electricity daily has now been reduced to a mere 8 hours on just two days per week, followed by a complete 24-hour blackout three times a week.
This is happening at a time when Nigerians are already struggling with economic hardship, skyrocketing fuel prices, and rising living costs. How does Ikeja Electric expect a household to survive 24 hours of darkness, three times a week, when the cost of petrol is now a minimum of ₦990 per liter? How are small businesses supposed to stay afloat when they are spending tens of thousands daily on fuel just to keep their doors open?
The Suffering Is Real, and It Is Unacceptable
Families are enduring unbearable heat, sleepless nights, and psychological stress, as they can no longer afford to run generators all night.
Businesses are shutting down because they cannot cope with the added expenses of fuel and diesel.
Essential home appliances are breaking down due to the frequent and unpredictable power fluctuations.
Students are struggling to study under these terrible conditions.
Despite numerous complaints, Ikeja Electric’s Ago and Okota offices have ignored our plight, leaving us to suffer without explanation or relief.
We Demand Immediate Action!
We are not asking for favors; we are demanding what we rightfully paid for. Ikeja Electric must immediately restore power to the original 22 hours per day under Band A, as was previously provided. The current situation is unfair, unsustainable, and inhumane.
If No Action Is Taken, We Will Take Further Steps
If Ikeja Electric fails to restore power immediately, we will escalate this matter to the media and investigative journalists who will conduct real-time interviews across affected communities. The suffering of residents will be broadcasted to the public, and the failure of Ikeja Electric to uphold its responsibilities will be fully exposed.
