I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with the Board of Commissioners to present this development proposal. The current focus is preparing a briefing packet that highlights the economic benefits of the 2007 park plan. I will notify you once a representative from the county office confirms a time to discuss the land acquisition.

This really needs to happen. That bridge is such a beautiful part of our history and we should be showing it off instead of letting it go to waste.
DO IT. Why are we waiting since 2007???
Fix it up and make it a park. My family has lived in Oconee for generations and we love that spot.
The shoals are so pretty and it would be a shame to lose access to them. build the park.
Keeping local history alive is worth the investment. plus think about the people who would visit just for the bridge.

YES PLEASE. we need more places to go outside near the water. it would be great for the county.
