The legislative language including E2 protections for our families has been officially adopted into the final bill. We will monitor the implementation phase to ensure these new guidelines are applied correctly at the consulate level.

We would like to ask the Lawmakers in Washington to look at including E2 Treaty Investor Visa Holders, and our Children, within new Immigration Discussions. At this time we have no idea how we may fit within what has been talked about.

E2 Treaty Investor Visa holders are running Small Business. We bring Investment in this country from over 70 countries and Create Employment for US Citizens. We are not taking jobs from Americans, we are not a drain on Welfare Systems and we pay Taxes.

Our Children are hard working and a large percentage of them go, or want to go, to College. At age 21 they are not covered by their parent's E2 Visa anymore and have to find other ways to stay - there are no easy options apart from marriage - or leave the country they may have lived in for most of their lives. Why is the US throwing away their education?

There is a universal assumption that legal immigrants always have a way to stay here - we know this is not true!!!

E2 Businesses are in your local communities - we are the Service Providers, Realtors and Mortgage Brokers, Hairdressers and Spas, Retail Stores, Music and Dance Academies, Business Consultants, Dog Boarders and Trainers, Driving and Flight Instructors, Interior Designers and Home Improvements, Security, Film Makers, Hotels and B&Bs, Restaurants, Cafes and Bakeries, Green Energy Installers, Childcare, House Builders and Horse Trainers and Breeders. We are pretty diverse!!!!

The Randalls are a boon to our community: they own a very popular restaurant that employs about 80 people in our community, some who have worked there for years. What a shame that this is even an issue!!

I have witnessed the impact the E-2 visa holders Nick and Sue Randall have had on Punta Gorda, FL, firsthand. PLEASE help give them a path to citizenship that does NOT involve divorcing each other and marrying Americans.

I don't understand this ruling! Why after the kid's parents have worked hard, given work opportunities to US citizens, paid taxes and raised their kids as Americans that they face the risk of deportation at 21!! Doesn't make sense!!

I have been in the states with my parents since I was 12. I am now 24 and earning my Masters degree. All my parents and I want is to stay in the country we call home, but we currently have no path to citizenship after being here more than 12 years.

Have had an E2 visa for 18 years. Our 24 year old daughter who graduated from UNLV has to leave the country on 2/15/18 as her OPT expires. She did not qualify for DACA only because she never came here illegally.

11 years here on E2. A path to permanent residency would allow us to plan for our future and reinvest the funds currently being spent on immigration and legal fees to grow our businesses and create more jobs.

I am an E2 visa holder. As with many E2 visa holders we sell everything we own in our home country to move to the USA. We employ Americans as per the visa rules, we pay our taxes and we live by the rules of this Country. We fear for our children's futures being so uncertain with the current rules and would ask for a change in these rules to allow our children to be able to succeed here in the USA.
