I really never expected this level of traction when I started typing this up at my kitchen table while crying. It is genuinely overwhelming to see how many people realize that eight months is just an insult to the family left behind. We are putting real pressure on the Home Secretary now and I am going to keep pushing until someone actually listens to us.

I was looking at the total count just now and my hands are actually shaking because we are right on the edge of reaching one hundred people who see how wrong this eight month sentence really is. If everyone who already signed just sent the link to one or two people who might be as angry as I am then we could hit that goal before tonight and show the Home Secretary that we are not going to be quiet about this tragedy.

8 months? u kidding me? should be life for taking lives away like that. unreal.
Total disgrace. He took two lives and walks free in less than a year? Needs to be locked up for a lot longer.
My heart breaks for that mother. How can the law be so unfair to them after what he did. Disgusting.
8 months is an absolute joke. That family lost everything and he gets a slap on the wrist. Justice system is broken.
Change the law now. This is ridiculous.

Where is the justice for the victims? This sentencing is a slap in the face to everyone who has lost someone to a drunk driver.
