A Wenatchee dog owner is under investigation after attempting to kill his own dog by shooting it multiple times, police said.The dog was found with multiple gun shot wounds by a passerby on June 5 in the Beehive Reservoir area off Mission Ridge Road, according to Wenatchee Police. That man brought the dog to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society for treatment. The person who shot this poor dog needs to be prosecuted for animal cruelty no animal deserves this. Please sign the petition and get justice for cane.

The man that did this is a sherriff/ deputy. That worries me. And for someone to put a dog down and doesnt complete the job is so wrong in so many ways. He needs to be held accountable for what he did. Pay all vet Bill's and be in court for cruelty to animals.
I was around this dog for the first 2 and a half years of his life. He was NEVER aggressive. I trusted that big boy with my newborn son. That dog didn't deserve this. If I were to have shot the dog i would be looking at jail time.
This was a cruel act of violence not a mercy killing. If it were, the shooter would have done something like bury him instead of allowing him to lay there to die slowly. This person must be accountable for his actions.
My understanding is that the owner told police he had become aggressive. This is just some guy with a good paying job that wanted to shoot a dog instead of taking it to the vet and paying to have him euthanized in a humane way.
Justice for Cane. That guy doesn't deserve to have anymore animals. The sibling to Cane needs to be taken away and he needs to serve jail time and payback the community, WVHS, and the vet.
What's good for the goose.... Seriously....this guy needs to be punished just like anyone else would be. No favoritism here. The guy handled everything wrong and made disgusting choices!!!!

Too many things don't add up and the right questions are NOT being asked. Investigate and prosecute this as if he was anyone else. Code of silence and blue wall don't apply here. Either the law applies to everyone or no one
