Thousands have been incarcerated for owing back child support without DNA confirmation of paternity. Too high a proportion of non-custodial entities are denied DNA fingerprinting for confirmation of fatherhood and are forced to pay support as well as threatened and sent to prison for non-payment. Many state social service agencies, for example Missouri Department of Social Services, shirk responsibility to order DNA testing upon receipt of a paternity challenge. Millions have been denied the right to know their true genealogy; especially the offspring; while lives are shattered by uncertainty. Please help us end the charade while edifying children and young adults' futures. Millions of people suffer, most assuredly children born into obscure existences, because one parent balks about confirming family origin through DNA testing; with irrefutable positive results. So I created a petition to Bill Nelson, United States Senator-Florida, The Missouri State House, The Missouri State Senate, Governor Jay Nixon, The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate and President Barack Obama, which says: "Thousands have been incarcerated for owing back child support without DNA confirmation of paternity. Too many state social service agencies, for example Missouri, shirk their responsibility to order DNA testing upon receipt of a paternity challenge. It must be an immediate authorized and approved request at any time in a person's life.
