Nearly 300 Americans have been exonerated after serving numerous years in prison for crimes that they weren't guilty of. It is time for Americans to get involved in this issue; this could be your brother, an uncle, a father, a son- something must be done. In order to focus the hazy lines of where justice ends and begins, DNA evidence that once went untested during a trial ,where a man is sentenced to 5-10+ years shall be obtained for testing purposes to prove the man's guilt or innocence in a proper laboratory. As well, Laws placed in states to allow access to DNA testing by inmates should be handled in a timely manner and reasonable fashion. Why withhold evidence that could prove innocence and save a man's life? It is time for a change in the justice system and it begins with DNA evidence testing post-trial.
