Goodday. A parole hearing has been scheduled for offender #00177429 Wayne Balance, in the Missouri Department of Corrections on 07/08/2021. The parole hearing has been scheduled as a videoconferencing parole hearing. Only the victims and 1 support person may attend. I am creating this petition of denial on behalf of the victims. My deceased mother Delores I Warfield and nephew whom I will not name as this brutal violent crime committed against them occurred when he was 10 years old.

During the beginning of August 2006, my mother Delores moved into a new duplex with my nephew. She paid Wayne Balance to help her move in. They had met at a homeless shelter. Later that night he returned to my mom's duplex asking for more money. When she told him no he attacked her with a knife. Stabbing her repeatedly and slicing her throat. My nephew was awakened and intervened and was also stabbed multiple times,

Offender #00177429 Wayne Balance was sentenced to two life sentences for the brutal violent crimes he committed against my mother and nephew, 11 years is not enough time spent. My mother passed away suddenly on March 4, 2020. My nephew still lives in the area and just had a daughter. I fear what mental and emotional damage will occur to him if offender #00177429 Wayne Balance is released from prison when he should be focused on being a father.

Please sign and share our petition to send a message to the parole board overwhelming support for denial of parole for offender #00177429 Wayne Balance. Also if you feel compelled you mail to write a letter to the parole board and send it to: Office of the Director, Office of Victim Services, c/o Kim Beshear, 3400 Knipp Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Be sure to include offender #00177429 Wayne Balance. Thank you.

Respectfully,

Kennette Goodman
