We are against the proposed natural gas well on the West side of Bonnie Brae near McKenna Park. On June 17, 2009 Denton Planning and Zoning approved a drilling site across the street from the intersection of Panhandle and Bonnie Brae. This is a highly populated residential area with both a public park and hospital nearby. The Denton City Council has decided to table this issue until Tuesday, August 4. We are working tirelessly to organize and get the word out to the people of Denton. It is absolutely absurd that a gas well would be considered so close to a park and hospital, not to mention a neighborhood! We ask you to voice your concerns at the upcoming council meeting on the 4th. Denton City Council meetings are held at 6:30 pm at 215 E McKinney St. In the mean time, it is important that every resident in the area sign this online petition so that the community as a whole can express their outrage to the city, and Rayzor Ranch!
