We, the citizens of the city Fort Worth, living in the neighborhoods of Berkeley Place, Ryan, Mistletoe Heights and Fairmount, do not support the request from Chesapeake Energy for a high-impact permit to drill two gas wells
on the 8th Ave. rail yard property owned by Mr. Bill Davis and the Fort Worth and Western Railroad.
As signatures to this petition, we ask the City Council deny the request for this permit.
The City Council is waiting to see if we lose steam so post this link on Facebook right now to prove that our neighborhoods are not backing down. Call your council representative this afternoon and tell them that a rail yard is no place for gas wells.
June 25, 2008
The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and the City Council is finally noticing our presence. Now is the time to apply maximum pressure so call your representative today and demand they reject the permit for the 8th Avenue rail yard.

Living right down the street from this and the noise is already unbearable. No way we need more drilling here. Keep it out of our neighborhood.

Enough is enough. These companies just want to tear up everything for a buck. Fort Worth needs to look out for the people who live here not big oil.
