we actually did it and the city just confirmed that the plans for the new poles on canterbury are officially cancelled. i am seriously blown away by how quick this turned around once we all spoke up together. lets just keep an eye on things to make sure the street …
By signing this petition, you are demanding that the installation of new telephone poles and associated work on Canterbury Road in Spring Branch, Texas to stop immediately. Early polling if residents has confirmed that most agree this work is not appropriate. You are requesting more information and seeking other options.
These contractors need to bury the lines as was the agreement instead of trying to save a few bucks and put up the ugly poles, devaluating our neighborhood properties. The contractors, the county, and the schools should be held liable.

I lived in Whispering Hills for 20 Year’s and must say this has to be the worst project I have seen in a very long time. No consideration to protect the natural beauty and aesthetics of the hill country.

Why was no one made aware of this?
It seems the HOA or the home owners of the property would have been notified. And what are they for? There are plenty of poles already you think they could use.

They could have used existing poles across the street or gone underground like any other neighborhood would have demanded. With these 2 new poles and a guy wire I now have 3 poles and 2 guy wires in my yard. Just because it is cheaper for them to run poles, we should not devalue our neighborhood.

Not happy about the massive amount of poles running through our neighborhood. These fiber optics lines should be run underground or on the existing poles. Who has poles on both sides of the community streets? It’s ugly and will bring the value of our homes down. Not happy.

Those pole look like crap. Especially around the corners where they put a pole every 30 feet or so, like on Canterbury just east of Winston Pl. Whoever owns that land won't even have a place to put a driveway.

I've never seen such a mess. Thank God I don't live on Canterberry. I would be livid

Why are we putting up polls when the world has gone wireless?
