We, the residents of Ratlou and concerned citizens, hereby demand immediate action regarding unfair recruitment practices and governance failures within Ratlou Local Municipality.

We are deeply concerned about:

  • Unfair and non-transparent hiring practices
  • Appointment of unqualified individuals
  • Lack of feedback to applicants
  • Allegations of ghost workers and misuse of public funds
  • Ongoing failure of accountability mechanisms

We therefore demand:

  1. A full independent forensic investigation
  2. Immediate suspension of implicated officials
  3. Transparent and fair recruitment processes
  4. Public release of recruitment and payroll records
  5. Criminal charges where wrongdoing is proven

We believe that jobs must be awarded based on merit, not connections.

Ratlou belongs to the people, not a selected few.

As residents of Ratlou, we have been wondering why we are not considered because we always see people that residing from other regions benefiting from our local municipality instead of us. The residents of Ratlou are always not considered at all regarding shortlist when it comes to employment. It is high time we stop that nonsense, it must come to an end PERIOD

It's a good thing something like is been brought by someone, we are currently out north west because we job hunting somewhere else back home you'll never get any job opportunity unless you have someone from inside who can put a good word for you. A typical example: i was hired via "huduwa huduwa" of ID ko kgosing ya Rra Mokoto, they hired people who were not even at the meeting.

This includes posting vacancies promptly and allowing all application methods. Using email helps people from the region apply and bring back skills and experience, while hand delivery restricts applications. And leaves no trace of who applied for audits purposes.
