We, the community of Hentiesbay, ask the Honourable Minister James Sankwasa to engage directly with residents and address our concerns in a clear and open way.
People in Hentiesbay want more clarity about the contract between ITEM Engineering and the Hentiesbay Municipality. This matter has raised serious questions in our community, and many residents feel left in the dark. We believe the public deserves straightforward answers about how this contract was handled, what it covers, and whether the Municipality has followed proper processes.
We also ask for a proper investigation and audit in every department of the Municipality. Residents need to know that public resources are being managed responsibly, that departments are working as they should, and that any problems are identified and dealt with honestly. A full review would help rebuild trust, improve accountability, and give the community confidence that its concerns are being taken seriously.
This is not only about administration. It is about the trust between the people of Hentiesbay and the institutions meant to serve them. We ask for direct engagement, clear information, and a thorough investigation so that our community can move forward with confidence and fairness.
Residents of Hentiesbaai pay their dues to the municipality, which include salary's, purchases of equipment, etc. Thus in effect we have a right to know how the funds of municipality will be spent.
