We, the residents of Morinville, Alberta and area, demand that the Town of Morinville install surveillance cameras to all recreational parks in Morinville.
Due to the increased vandalism activity, including shattered glass from alcohol bottles at Rotary Park and a fire in the tube slide at Grandin Heights Park, we feel the parks should be monitored by cameras 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
We understand that this will be an added cost, but in comparison, the cost of surveillance compared to repairing damaged equipment and having to call the Fire department out, it would be less to put up cameras.
We also feel, as parents and members of the community, it would keep our parks safer for the children we are raising in this town. It would deter vandals from damaging property, and would bring a sense of security to the community.
i sign, but remember that you are attacking the concecuences, not the causes. Greetings from Argentina
